Check the assigned teacher
A useful qualification check concerns the person who will actually teach the learner. Ask admissions for the tutor’s name, relevant subject experience, teaching language and current availability. A website-wide badge does not answer these questions for an individual appointment.
If an Ijazah is advertised
Ask what it covers, who issued it and what supporting information can be shared. A recitation authorization, an academic degree and experience teaching children are different kinds of evidence. An Ijazah in one area should not be treated as a qualification in every subject or as clinical training.
Observe a teaching sample
- Ask the tutor to check a small skill at the learner’s current level.
- Watch how a correction is explained and demonstrated.
- Notice whether the learner gets enough time to respond.
- Try a fresh example to check understanding.
- Ask why the proposed next activity is appropriate.
For a child or learner needing support
Discuss caregiver observation, lesson links, contact boundaries and how to raise concerns. Ask the tutor about relevant experience with the adjustments your learner uses. General Quran teaching experience is not the same as specialist educational or clinical certification.
Recording and personal information
Ask whether any recording is proposed and confirm consent, access and retention before it happens. Share only the learning information needed to discuss the lesson. Do not assume automatic recordings, a parent portal or a particular background-check process without a specific answer from admissions.
Confirm the arrangement
Before paying, agree the assigned tutor, lesson length, weekly schedule, fee and cancellation or rescheduling terms. If a qualification is important to your choice and the supporting information is unclear, ask for clarification before proceeding.
