Our Commitment to Authentic Content
How QuranHeaven ensures every article, guide, and educational resource meets the highest standards of Islamic scholarship and editorial integrity.
At QuranHeaven, we understand that Islamic knowledge carries a sacred responsibility. Every piece of content we publish β from blog articles and learning guides to course descriptions and informational pages β must meet rigorous standards of accuracy, authenticity, and ethical integrity. These editorial guidelines govern our content creation process.
1. Primary Source Verification
All Islamic content published on QuranHeaven must be traceable to primary sources. Quranic verses are cited with Surah and Ayah numbers using the standard Madinah Mushaf numbering. Hadith references include the collection name (e.g., Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud), volume, and hadith number where available. We prioritize authentic (Sahih) and good (Hasan) hadith over weak (Da'if) narrations. If a weak hadith is referenced for a non-juridical purpose (e.g., historical context), its classification is disclosed.
2. Scholarly Review Process
Content is reviewed by at least one Ijazah-certified scholar or teacher before publication. Our review team includes Sheikh Abdullah (Lead Instructor, Ijazah in Ten Qira'at) and other qualified reviewers. The reviewer's name and credentials are published alongside the content (typically in an author bio or reviewer credit). Our review process covers:
- Theological accuracy β ensuring content aligns with orthodox Sunni Islam
- Fiqh accuracy β where rulings are mentioned, noting the scholarly opinion and its basis
- Tajweed accuracy β verifying all Tajweed rules and examples
- Translation accuracy β checking Quran translations and Arabic transliterations
3. Scope & Limitations
We clearly delineate what our content covers and, equally importantly, what it does not. Our content focuses on Quranic education (recitation, Tajweed, memorization, Tafsir) and foundational Islamic knowledge. We do not issue fatwas (legal rulings). When discussing matters of fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), we present established scholarly opinions and note the school of thought. We avoid controversial political topics and sectarian debates. Our goal is educational, not polemical.
4. No Fabricated Claims
We do not fabricate or exaggerate teacher credentials, student outcomes, or scholarly qualifications. All claims about Ijazah-certified teachers β including Ijazah certifications, years of experience, number of students taught, and scholarly lineage β are based on verifiable records. Student success stories represent real students (names may be changed for privacy), and their accounts are documented by our teaching staff. We never invent testimonials.
5. Inclusive & Balanced Language
Our content serves a diverse global Muslim audience spanning different cultures, schools of thought, and levels of religious practice. We use inclusive language that respects all legitimate scholarly positions. When presenting opinions specific to one school of thought (madhhab), we note this. We avoid language that demeans or dismisses other valid Islamic traditions. Our tone is educational, respectful, and welcoming to Muslims from all backgrounds as well as non-Muslims seeking information.
6. Transparency About Authorship
Every article and guide on QuranHeaven displays the author's name and credentials. Content written by our teaching staff is credited with their full name and role. Content created by guest contributors or based on student input is clearly attributed. If AI-assisted tools are used in content creation (e.g., for drafting or research), this is disclosed, and the content undergoes the same full scholarly review process.
7. Regular Updates & Corrections
We review our content periodically to ensure it remains accurate, current, and clear. Each article displays the date of original publication and the date of last review. If a reader identifies an error or inaccuracy, we encourage them to contact us at info@quranheaven.com. Corrections are made promptly, and significant corrections are noted in an update log at the bottom of the affected page.
8. Advertising & Sponsorship
QuranHeaven does not accept paid advertising, sponsored content, or affiliate links that compromise our editorial independence. Any third-party resources we recommend are based solely on their educational merit and alignment with our values. If a resource is recommended because of a partnership or referral relationship, this is disclosed.
9. Privacy in Content
We respect the privacy of our students and readers. Student success stories are published only with explicit consent. Identifying details are modified or omitted to protect privacy unless the student has consented to their full story being shared. We do not publish personal information of students or their family members without written permission.
10. Commitment to Improvement
These editorial guidelines are living documents. We review and update them as our content operation evolves, as new best practices emerge in digital publishing, and as we receive feedback from our readers and scholarly advisors. We welcome suggestions for improvement at info@quranheaven.com.
